June 2008 Photographer: Jay Goldsmith Title: Piscataqua Cafe Website: jaygoldsmith.com I have made my living as a portrait photographer in seacoast New Hampshire since 1981. I currently photograph children and their families exclusively in natural light from May to the first of November. My work relies to a great extent on a sense of place and our relationships within and to the natural world. Photography is a hobby as well as a profession and the same things interest me in both: diffuse light, and the dialectic of the man-made playing out against the natural world. |
